I took the beast for a test drive to Camping World to get a new water saving shower head for when boondocking and a dash fan. I then went to get an LOF (lube, oil, filter). No leaks, no squealing belts, the beast is ready to move on down south. I’ll be leaving here 11/8, meanwhile I’m going to relax (that’s the plan).
When I arrived at my Aromas CA camp, my new fan clutch was waiting. A quick job putting it in, NOT! As I began, I notice the water pump shaft had worn bearings, so I ordered a new pump. Then I noticed the smog pump needed replacing. How did I make it this far?! I got it all back together and replaced the coolant when I noticed a leak. I had to take it all apart again. This morning, I’m going to put the coolant back in, again. All part of the adventure.
I am now camped at Delta Shores Resort and Marina, with full hook-ups, located on the Mokelumne River in the heart of the Sacramento Delta Region. I’ll be here a week and then it’s on to Aromas CA.
