Working my way south, I’m going to stay here at River Mountain RV Park in Idanha Oregon for a month. I decided on a month to get past Labor Day, the peak season and to enjoy the cooler weather. I like it here, quiet and the sounds of the Santiam River makes for a wonderful night’s sleep. The Detroit Lake is being drained early this year for upgrades to the dam. This makes for a less busy park which is good for me but not for business. It’s interesting to me that people are cancelling their reservations because they can’t go boating and I’m staying here to do, well, nothing!
I left O’Sullivan and landed at Hause Creek for one night and then Cascade Peaks with full hook-ups for two nights. I then took off to Travel Inn RV Park in Elma for a week with full hook-ups. I was relaxing when I heard a loud pop followed by a weird noise. I went outside to see who was making all this noise and water was pouring out the back of the beast. The pop was a connection popping off and the weird noise was the pump running wild (I forgot I left it on, not the cause, just not needed). In a panic state I had shut off the water and got information from the park office to call Mobile Tech RV Repair Service and Mark came out and fixed it. Considering what he had to do, to get to the leak, he was a godsend for $315.84.
