New Water Heater

I’m now camped at All Seasons RV Park in Rozet, Wyoming.  I’ll be here for 4 weeks.  I have ordered a bunch of stuff from Amazon.  Today I’m waiting for UPS to deliver my new water heater.  I like UPS; they’ll deliver it right to my camp site.  I’m replacing my failing tankless water heater with a tank type heater.  I could just find out what’s wrong and fix it, but its 13 years old and I can’t imagine nothing else going wrong with it.  A replacement tankless is about $1200.00!  A new tank type is about $400.00.  Also, the tank type heater will be better for boondocking.  You see, it’s easy for me to find reasons to get what I want.

Rocky Point Recreation Area

I was hoping for one more night at Sleepy Hollow so that I could leave on a Monday to pick up my mail in Box Elder.  They were booked and so I had to move on.  I stayed, for the night, at a camp in Wasta named 24 Express.  It is an 8 site park behind a gas station.  As bad as that sounds, it actually was quite nice, with electric.  I left there to get my mail and then went to get a new phone and a new Verizon Jetpack at the Verizon store in Rapid City.  A friendly young lady helped me choose, I now have unlimited data and voice for even less per month.  I am now at Rocky Point Recreation Area state park, a very nice park along the shore of Belle Fourche Reservoir, with electric.  I will leave tomorrow for All Seasons RV Park, with full hook-ups, back in Wyoming.

Hart Ranch Resort

I first stayed a few nights at my domicile address so I could qualify for a South Dakota driver’s license.  It’s official, I’m a South Dakotan!  This driver’s license requires a number of documents to prove who I am, it’s called a Real ID, and it makes Homeland Security smile.  Undocumented people cannot get a driver’s license or ID in South Dakota.  I’m now at Hart Ranch Resort.  This park is huge; it’s like a city with even a restaurant and security.  I’ll be leaving tomorrow for Sleepy Hollow Campground in Wall, SD.  This campground is walking distance to the famous Wall Drug store.

I’m working my way to Box Elder, South Dakota to get my SD drivers license.  My first stop was Atlantic City Campground, Wyoming, and now I’m at Pete’s Draw Campground next to the North Platte River.  Tomorrow, I’m off to Prairie View Campground.
